EXHIBITION: Haute Culture : General Idea Retrospective 1969-1994

The exhibition explores the themes of choice of three artists: the glamor as a creative tool, the consumer society, the artist and the creative process, the relationship between media and mass culture, architecture and archeology. Sexuality, considered a symbol of social organization to subvert is also planned, along with AIDS across the sprawling flagship project and AIDS.

Starting from a conception of the image seen such a virus infiltrating reality, General Idea takes it to the live and change the content. It develops as an alternate version of reality.

High Culture: General Idea explores the multimedia character of a work which has lost none of its freshness and appears in retrospect as anticipatory of some developments in the world of contemporary art.

The exhibition was held at Musee de l'art Moderne in Paris.
